Car Alarms Archives

i want to put an alarm on my car but its expensive to have it installed could i order one off of the internet and put it in my self for cheeper i have no power locks or windows so that shouldnt be a problem just want the motion sensor

Ok, so I have this situation with my car alarm. Well the alarm is controlled by my keypad and when I turn the power locks on, the alarm is off, and when I turn the powerlocks off, the alarm is back on again. What happens if I want to be inside the car with all the powerlocks off so no one can get inside…like imagine this. If you were stranded somewhere and you are all alone and you want to be inside your car with the powerlocks off obviously, how do you prevent your alarm from going off when you are inside the car with the powerlocks off?

theres been a car alarm going off all night. Not the first time either….it happens a lot where i live and they go on for hours and hours (dont know if its the same car)
Is there anything that can be done or anywhere you can go to complain, cos im so sick of it??
also i dont know who the car owner is, so i cant say it to him/her. Probably they dont live nearby or surely theyd have turned it off by now

I drive a 98 camaro and for some reason the car alarm keeps going off and i don’t know why and today the car wouldnt start and after the 3rd time of trying to start it the alarm started going off it wouldnt stop even when i hit the car alarm button. after about 20 mins of it going off it stoped and the car started i thought everything was fine until i got home today it keeps beeing and making weird noise and i’m a chick i don’t know anything about this damn car so if anyone could help that would be great.

It seems like everyone is immune to hearing the car alarm go off and no even looks anymore.

I have noticed one time that a neighbors car went off once and as soon as they tried to reboot the alarm from going off again, they accidently shut it off completely having the car stolen for days. Thankfully the alarm was hooked up properly but really can this deter theifs from looking at it as an opportunity?

is there such a thing?
ive been google searching
but i just get a basic car alarm system

i have an accord 01
with no automatic door locks and windows
so i was wondering

chgd. battery in 1997 toyota celica.when i reconnected battery, car horn beeps and can’t start car

I have a 2001 Chrysler Sebring LXI and it has the keychain (you konw, the usual door lock & unlock and a panic button) I was wondering if someone broke my window would the alarm go off, or should I just go ahead a buy an aftermarket alarm (thinking about the two way alarm with the beeping keychain)

I have a 94 toyota camry, and if i put an alarm in it, will it waste the car battery and or the alternator. can i buy a better battery? or is it impossible. reason why is b/c my parents had an older mazda minivan and it had an alarm and apparently the alternator went out as well as the battery.

i dont plan on going around and setting peoples car alrms off but it’d be nice to know it can.

The car alarm that goes off on audi’s is so weak. I cant tell the difference between it and the "door open chime."
what can i do to improve my car alarm. or how can i put in a louder one.?

Its kind of complicawted. My key is broken in my ignition, so it still starts usually because I put the broken half in and turn it. Friday, someone rode with me and played with the locks, turning my alarm on. The only way to turn the alarm off that I know of is to push the remote button or unlock the trunk. The trunk won’t unlock because the key is broken in the ignition, and the remote button is broken and missing. To make it worse, there is a factory alarm and a added keyless entry alarm. The car is a 1995 Nissan Maxima, if that helps.

I heard lots of cars with strong strong bass.
but im not sure how many watts it is so yea help me out?

I found a 2-way alarm system I like and 8 people have given it 5 star ratings. Is it a good brand?

I hear car alarms going off all the time. Do they even help? Have they saved your car before?

I’m lookin into buying a Clifford RSX 3.5 but don’t know if it has a feature like this.
Sorry for the confusion, I’m looking for a feature like the BlackJax for G5 Clifford alarms. Is that a good system

…other than waking me up at four in the morning really obnoxiously. I mean, does anyone actually even care if they hear a car alarm anymore? When you are in the store and you hear a car alarm go off, do you rush out to the parking lot and make sure it isn’t you? and that is an honest question, if you do, I want to know you exist.

And if those people don’t exist… why are they still putting super obnoxious car alarms in cars?
But my point is, no one cares if a car alarm goes off, I don’t think. I certainly wouldn’t go check it out… they go off so often that no one cares anymore.

Will the police do anything about it? One went off every 5 minutes for about 10 seconds from midnight to 1 AM last night.

In older ones, when u started and moved the car after some seconds, doors locked automaticly.but in new car alarms when u move the car they don`t lock the doors till ur first brake.
when u brake they lock the doors.
why?
What is the logic of this?why is it better than the previous method?

my son changed batteries for his remote keyless entry and now we cannot get the car to unlock for his ‘03 tiburon. is there a reset or something?
