I did have one but it broke.
I heard you can get one installed by the fire service but not sure if they do, or if it’s just in some areas?

I’m setting it off in a medium sized apartment with a smoke alarm that I cannot control.
Who is the best company to go with. I want to know who and why you chose the company that you use. Please be detailed, but you don’t have to go crazy with details. What accessory options do you have, and recommend? Basically, I am looking into getting one, I also have a building that would be hooked into the works.
Thank you. 10 points will be awarded
well, it is not becaue I am trying to save on my insurance, it is because I am not home a lot, and I would feel better at least having some eyes of some sort watching my place.
My budget is alright. Im not rich, but I am above average.
I live in a single family house which I am buying, and I have a building that is about 65 feet from my house, my shop which will also be added in.
I live in a good area, one of the better areas in NC to live in. USA
What I have that is worth protecting, is simply my house. household stuff.
to protect against fire and theft.
There will be no wires showing, that would eliminate the purpose of having it in my opinion.
they hurt my ears.
My husband and I have cell phones and really don’t want to get a home phone. Do you have to have a home phone line to have a security alarm for my house? If you don’t have to have one, do you know an alarm company that will operate with just having our cell phones?
So in college dormitories, we have fire alarms (building-wide) and then smoke detectors in individual rooms. Obviously, the smoke detectors go off when they detect smoke. Do the fire alarms go off automatically, or only if someone pulls it? I notice they don’t always go off when smoke detectors do.
So, I can’t seem to fine the number for my home security system customer service. I was wondering if they keep a log of when it is activated/deactivated. I was out of town this past weekend and I think my housesitter has been doing more than just watering the plants every other day..
it seems to be coming from the stove.
it is an old fashioned one. with the clock like old school on the stove top. like jutting out on the left side.
it seems like the beeping is coming from there.
what is it? it is not like an alarm. more like an electronic bird chirp.
Our smoke alarms all went off in unison tonight for no apparent reason.. I didnt know they could do that for a false alarm? Anyhow, I am worried that as there wasnt a fire, it was due to carbon monoxide, as one of our alarms is a carbon monoxide detector.
How can I check that monoxide isnt an issue for us? What other things can make a fire alarm go off for no reason?
No monitoring system. What do you think of this plan? I mainly want to know how well the glass break detectors work.
are smoke alarms a legal requirement if you rent out property
I want to set my alarm system on "home arming" (which is a feature in my alarm system). What does it do ?? And when will it go off ? What will trigger it ?
Thanks
I have two and half almost three year old twins. I just found out in the last two weeks both of them are deaf. I am not looking for smoke detectors to put in the house. All of the one I have found are horribly expensive. I am a single mom putting my self threw college right now so money is a huge issue. I am in california if there are any state programs. Thanks
They went of randomly a couple of weeks ago and I figured we should change the batteries since we haven’t changed them since we moved in this house-a year ago-and so we changed them. This morning they randomly went off for no reason! I just can’t figure out why! Please any suggestions?
I know there is a communication problem since I switched to digital phone.
Do you know if I can do it myself to disconnect the system to any alarm company?
I live in my own home. I have 7 smoke alarms; 5 upstairs and 2 downstairs. Yesterday, they all went off at the same time … no smoke; no fire. I shut them off at the breaker box. The smoke alarms are wired into the house, but each has one 9 volt battery in it. I replaced all the batteries, but that did not solve the problem. Any suggestions?
I have tried pushing the test button on each and that did not work.
All were unplugged when installing the new batteries.
I wanna see if anybody has dealt with this protection system. And if their prices are reasonable.
i was just wondering cuz i need double a batteries and my smoke alarm has some and i dont think theres going to be a fire in the next 5 mins but if it goes off my dad will get mad at me…
The started by just beeping every couple of minutes. Then, one will beep 3 times, and the rest will each beep 3 time in "response". When I say beep, I mean like sirens are going off. Then they move on to chirping during which you wish you didn’t have ear drums.. I’ve replaced all of the batteries (twice) and it is still doing it. I have tried resetting each of them and that doesn’t work. I’m ready to rip them out of the ceilings. How can I get them to stop?
I work for ADT Security Services.
My job is to go out and knock on peoples doors and find those who are interested in a free alarm system for their home, with installation include. There is a activation fee and they have to pay monitoring fees of about - per month.
How can I find local people that are searching for something like this without having to knock on doors. I really want to generate sales without having to knock on doors.
More like people calling me interested to join instead.
Please help.
Thank you in advance.
Like, where can I find some information about, say, how much they cost, ethical issues, pros and cons, etc?
We don’t pay for the system to work anymore.
It beeps every 3 seconds until I put in the password.
It is not possible to unplug it without tearing it off the wall and breaking it.
