How come my smoke alarms keep going off?
They went of randomly a couple of weeks ago and I figured we should change the batteries since we haven’t changed them since we moved in this house-a year ago-and so we changed them. This morning they randomly went off for no reason! I just can’t figure out why! Please any suggestions?

The battery is usually the first and best bet, but that didn’t work, (by the way, you should change batteries every 6 months, about the time daylight savings time changes, if your in an area that does that).
Gary has it right, probably a cob web or dust in the sensor. It is just an infra-red lamp with a pick up and smoke would block the light and go off, but dust will do the same thing. Unless you do have a fire in the fireplace, or you cook and burn stuff without noticing smoke. Also, is it a CO2 detector as well as a smoke detector, maybe you have a CO2 problem.
I would try to blow it out with compressed air, then begin looking for replacements on sale, they are cheap and well worth the peace of mind.
Mine was doing that forever. I smelled everywhere for smoke..none. I changed the batteries. Finally I just knocked it off the wall. Could be it is faulty? I never got a new one, but you should. See if you can return it-
I don’t what brand you have, however this problem sounds like a dirty sensor. You will need top remove the battery and with a small brush or canned air(like you would use to clean electronics) clean the eye .This should stop the problem.
If you have gas heating it could be the carbon monoxide detector going off instead…
