I need help with information to put on a flier for sales.?
I am selling home security systems this summer. The equipment is free if the customer agrees to the monitoring contract. I want to make fliers to put on cars in parking lots. I also want informational fliers to put n peoples doors to set up appointments offering "free consultations. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly, my first impression of a security system provider that puts flyer’s on cars and doors isn’t that good. And, flyer’s aren’t likely - at least to me - to give a strong sense of professionalism or security. While it may not be a ‘cheap’ system, the flyer’s make it feel that way, which could undercut your brand, and your ability to sell in the community.
You might be better served by becoming involved in neighborhood watch organizations, consulting with homeowners associations and business organizations, as well as forming alliances with other community organizations.
Attend community meetings so you have a good understanding of what’s going on & what the common security concerns are in your sales area.
You could offer to do security workshops at community meetings, or be a part of law enforcement presentations on community safety and security. Analyze the security issues in the community and be prepared to speak to them, while providing your services as a solution.
Be the go-to guy on security issues in your community. You don’t say if this is the only service you offer (for instance, our security people are also the local locksmiths), but cross marketing or forming a partnership with a similar professional might be helpful in getting your message out.
Security is an important issue that is best addressed face-to-face so your customers can learn to trust you. There is a lot of fear about letting someone into your house, being the security guy just means you’ll know that much more about them - you need to be ready to speak to those concerns.
You might drop "free" as your buz word and try "No Cost" or "Complimentary" or some other word that says Professional.
Good Luck!
