Smoke Alarms sets off when I put the cover back?
I removed the cover to replace batteries. Now when I put the cover back after replacing batteries, the alarm starts beeping continously. How do I stop it from beeping? It stops beeping when I take off the cover. How do I put the cover back? Thanks!

Check that the test button on the cover is not stuck. If that is protruding it is making contact when you put the cover back.
Also make sure there isn’t any dust or cob webs.
I would contact the manufacturer since there are alot of different type of smoke alarms. Mine has never done that, it just snaps on.
Make sure the cover is going on right. The test button has it’s own little hole it fits in when the cover is replaced.
My smoke alarm will beep constantly after the cover is opened, until you hit the test button.
