well i haven’t installed an anti-virus on my pc yet, and i need one since i use the net alot.i asked others one which i should get, some said norton and most said zone alarm.so i guess zone alarm seemed more popular and effective. i just want to know if anyone knows if Vista supports it..because everyone that i asked is still using XP.

First of all I need to know if norton internet security will even work to remove Anti-virus 2009. And second, when I try and install it my pc freezes, every time. I don’t know why it does this, When I put the disc in I start the install and it says Initializing…please wait. Then my pc freezes. Should I just get it restored again for the 3rd time in less than 2 months or is there another way out.

im still deciding what to buy norton 2009 or kaspersky 2009….
but kaspersky has 2 flavors and norton has 3?!? kaspersky has internet security and anti-virus and norton has gaming security, internet security and anti-virus whats up with these? and what should i get?
i browse the internet a lot and download a lot too…. sometimes i play online but not that much…

Regarding my computer security, is it better for me to install 2 anti-virus softwares or just 1 anti-virus?

What is the difference between Kaspersky® Internet security 2009 and Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 2009? Which one is better to have? Can you install both of them in same computer? Is there any better software to use?

I have just bought and registered Panda Internet Security 2009 from Panda's website. Now i have 2 licenses left i can use on other computers. How do i activate the anti virus on another computer?

My laptops playing up a bit. Slowing down and internet explorer is freezing up as well. Thinking about un-installing avast and using kaspersky trial version to see if anything odd turns up. But I can’t decide between the internet security and the anti-virus.

I'm using Verizon's Internet Security Suite which contains anti virus and anti spyware along with a firewall. I wish to set the system for scheduled scanning. I'm using Windows xp.

1) How often should I scan for viruses and spyware?
2) A scheduled scan won't take place if my pc is off.
3) Will it run if the pc is in hybernation mode?
4) Any drawbacks to leaving my pc in hybernation mode when I'm not using it instead of closing down all pc stuff
4) If yes to question #3 ~ what are the drawbacks?
