I’m setting it off in a medium sized apartment with a smoke alarm that I cannot control.

destroying your stuff when you’re away? I need the dog to be in the apartment when I’m off running errands, because I work from home and I can’t afford to be robbed and lose my livelihood. But if the dog destroys my equipment I am ruined also. So, how do you have a guard dog, but safeguard the property from dog damage?

Hello!
recently i was looking around for different security solution for my home. i’m looking for a wireless solution because i rent the place. what i would need to to do is basically sms (text) me when someone enters my apartment, siren is optional but not that important, computer easy management would also be nice. all the other bells and whistles are always welcome but basically i just need the sms feature and be able to manage it via computer.
what are the options out there?
Thank you!

rain water came leaking out of the rectangular edges of the electrical outlet, and the edges of our red fire alarm in our apartment during a storm. i could hear rain dripping inside the walls. are we in danger or electrical problems?

I don’t want to get an entire home alarm system as I only have an apartment. The only way to get in is the main front door and 1 window (but that’s so high off the ground that I’m not worried about that).

Is there something you can just attach to your front door so that if someone opens it, then the alarm will go off?

This robber comes through balcony by emergency ladder, at around 1:00-3:00(apartment) from the roof. They come because, wife&husbands who live in my apartment both goes to work. I was going to buy lights that turns on when someone comes but they come at the day, if it is night it is easy to notice, but it is hard to know at the day, plus, robberies usually comes when I am away, so those kind of lights doesnt help. So what is good? I dont even want them to come in to my balcony.

Do you think they would be an effective line of defense for my apartment that is on the slightly rougher side of town?

I have a sliding glass door downstairs with an easily accessible patio facing the street.

Any tips for intruder prevention here would be helpful but mainly regarding hardware and these wireless systems.

Thank you!!!!!
