How do I turn off the AVG Internet Security 8 boot scan?

Boot scan is slowing my computer start up time, and I am trying to find a way to disable it. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium, with AVG Internet Security 8. I do not want to disable AVG on startup, just the boot scan.

How can I keep my computer from getting spyware even though I have AVG and Zone Alarm on my computer?

My computer continues to pick up tracking cookies and trojans even though I’m armed with AVG, and Zone Alarm. Is there any way that this spyware can be prevented from entering my computer? Why does AVG Internet Security 8 continually fail to start because the application configuration is incorrect?

I installed AVG 8 for the first time while ago and after it had been working for some time it said, "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

Ok so I reinstalled the application from my AVG Internet Security 8 disc and it then worked again.

And then the same error has occurered and if I reinstall it most likely the same thing is going to happen.

What is going on and how do I fix this problem?

What free antivirus is GOOD and compatible with Zone Alarm Pro?

I have Zone Alarm Pro and AVG 7.5 which keeps saying that after May 31, I'll have to upgrade to AVG 8, which from reading reviews I understand is CRAP. Is it really crap because I uninstalled AVG 7.5, downloaded Avast, and I don't understand things. It says it is not compatible or some crap. Is AVIRA any good?. Which internet security solution out there do you think is the best? Please no biased opinions because you use it yourself. I currently have AVG but I am not happy with it.
