I am thinking on buying a Video Surveillance System in my house. but is it possible to put moniors in all of my 4 rooms for the same 6 cameras?
I have a friend who works at a small bar. And it has been said that not only is the bar under video surveillance but the owner is going to install several cameras with audio also. Is this legal? I feel as if it is ease dropping on peoples private conversations. Is there anything that can be done about this? I totally agree with the video but audio I think is a invasion of privacy.
First and foremost, I want a security system that I can install myself that I don’t have to pay someone to monitor. I want the system to have all of the following features:
Integrated Smoke Alarm
Integrated CO Detector
Glass Break Sensors
Multiple Cameras both inside and out that are accessible via the web
DVR for the cameras with access via TV(s)
Window / Door alarms
A loud siren
Control Panel
Key Fobs
Ability to either email photos or on security breach
Is this too much to ask from a do it yourself system? I am not worried about the cost, but want flexibility in the system that I choose.
If they would have had a security camera, we’d know exactly what Jane Tanner saw.
In no way am I saying that the cameras could have been a free babysitter.
i want to buy one for the house with cameras and exterior speakers and motion sensors and glass break alarms and door sensors
OK so I bought a wireless surveillance system with 4 cameras. i also have a wireless router laying around (D-Link). What do I need to do to pick up the camera signals on my wireless router so I can view them on the computer?
My dad wants a hidden camera to see who does what around here and stuff… well anyone know what store i can go to to buy those types of cameras?
I’ve been given the task of finding a good Wireless Security-style webcam that can be sent through a standard wireless router without requiring a server computer at all. Does anyone know of any that can do this?
I’m not really sure what the plans are for these cameras, just that they have to be able to work decently with only a wireless router.
I own 2 fast food restaurants. I have cameras in place, hooked up to some monitors. I bought these locations with them already installed. How would I go about getting these cameras to stream over the internet and possibly record? I had DSL routers at both locations.
I just bought a security system at a police auction, but it didn’t have cables for the cameras. What kind of cables do I need and where do I find them?
my friends mom told me there was but im kinda skeptical because she often says weird stuff. But if there is cameras in thhe dressing rooms then thats a big privacy invasion.
I’m thinking about installing some cameras out side my house b/c lately some of my neighbors cars got broken into. so if i do this will my homeowners insurance go down?
thanks
D
I was wondering if they all are turned on and working because at a different store where i worked at we cant afford to have all the cameras on.
Whenever I see this great new technology to analyze peoples facial profile, or put cameras in schools to protect children, these "privacy" advocates come out of the woodwork and cry foul. What do you think? I really like a safer society…
My friend was in a department store & she went into a dressing room. She left barcode tags on the floor and a sales woman went in after her. My friend said she may have seen her when she was leaving the store noone aproached her. Can they find her adress & name from cameras?
I’m a teacher and my manager is going to install some cameras onto the walking areas of students. Do you think she should do it or no?
Are all the little cameras they have all over the store in like Ralphs, Vons(grocery stores), and Barnes and Noble actually monitored? I’m not intending to steal anything, but I’ve always wondered how they manage to watch like, 50 cameras at a time. I’ve heard that they only use them after the fact to prove that someone has stolen, but if that’s the case, then how do they catch thieves in a big store in the first place?
I want to plug some cameras at my factory so that if i am not over there so that i can watch online those cameras and if it is possible so can u tell me the procedure to do that and i want to plug in 4-5 cameras plese help me and i want to see them live
We need 2 cameras by the front gate, and 1 by the gift shop about 1500′ away. We have DSL and wireless, but a wireless camera system might not work over this distance, and with so many trees. Any ideas? Thanks loads!
Now that many of us vote in the supermarket, has the question of privacy from the stores’ cameras been addressed? Could they be watching us vote? Would it even matter?
Here in Reno, NV our polling places are almost all in supermarkets - you have to vote in your precinct.
I want to be able to check them from home. I don’t want to have to buy new cameras. I just need to know if there are programs offered to tap into them from home? How?
I think I need the address to get into the cameras and to make them move. He has them looking at my house and I need to learn how to make them move while hes viewing us.
I just wondered, because sometimes they can’t clarify stuff like that very well. I guess you can see what they’re wearing. It’s like if you really want to catch the criminal, you would at least pay more money for better cameras. Just a thought. What do you think?
coming in the yard or kids playing while the property is vacant?
I bought some fake cameras on ebay hoping that these kids get the freakin message to stay out of my fucking yard while I am away from my house for periods at a time.
Their mama (like most mothers using their kids as paychecks) does not give a shit where her hell-yuns are.
On ebay, there are two ways i can go, wireless or wired. Wireless obviously involve less "wires" but regardless i need a power supply for each individual camera. Would it be bad to run extension cords in the attic, for these cameras?
