Wal Mart: How much square feet do their security cameras cover?
1. How many square feet (or miles, or acres) are there, of monitored areas by security cameras at Wal Mart's corporate facilities in North America?
2. What is the average number of "security" cameras at a typical Wal Mart retail location?

Why do you ask?!?!?!
too much to F with.
Wal-Mart is a joke. They have security but it is not turned on and is most definitely not monitored. Remember that they just lost lots of money for the lawsuit in Pensylvania for labor abuse. They were trying to treat us like they treat the Chinese, were labor is almost free. They are not monitoring those cameras. 5 of the Waltons are the richest people in America and do not possible want every one else get ahead. They claim to be saving us over $2000 each year selling us those Chinese trinkets….Woooooo hooooooo…..P.S. I hate Wal-mart….Pass it on
dkf2222 is mostly correct. I worked at Walmart for quite awhile and I can guarantee you that the security cameras do work; however, he is right when he says that the cameras are not monitored. These cameras (as of late) are only for use as evidence against shoplifters who were caught (by eyesight) stealing or to investigate when valuable items disappear. Ironically, the cameras that watch employees are the most watched. Back to the questions at hand though… Assuming you are asking for specific data for a report or something, you should check their many corporate websites. Walmart loves to brag about it's various accomplishments.
